Historical Device: Crookes Radiometer

The Crookes radiometer is a fairly simple little device that is used to measure the power of electromagnetic waves. Basically what this device does is spins when electromagnetic waves hit the black and white diamond shaped spinners on top. The more electromagnetic waves that hit it the faster it spins. For most people this device has no real practical use but it does look pretty sweet on a window sill somewhere since it will spin very fast when the suns rays hit it. This is overall nowadays just a really cool looking science device for any up and coming mad scientists lab.
